Frequent onanism if associated with increased anxiety. The present randomised controlled trial aims to address if 7-day abstinence from onanism is associated with a decrease in self-report anxiety scores in comparison to baseline levels seen in the non-intervention group (i.e. normal onanism habits).
Participants will be randomised evenly to normal onanism habits versus 7 day abstinence. Participants are kindly asked to follow the instructions to their assigned group and score their anxiety levels on a scale of 1 (low) to 10 (high) seven days after enrolling in the study.

You are the baseline control. You do not have to change your behaviour but please remmeber to score your anxiety level on a scale of 1 (low) to 10 (high) 7 days after enrolling into the study. You will be reminded when your anxiety assessment is due.

It'd be great to be able to also ask a follow up question here like... did you manage to comply with the instruction?

It would be better to ask anxiety levels at least twice (Once at the start as well as the end).
